Score, the Ladbrokes affiliate program, is closing relations with its US affiliate partners (for now), according to an e-mail sent out to partners today.
While there were not a plethora of details, Ladbrokes was quick to mention some key clauses in its Terms and Conditions:
We regret to inform you that Ladbrokes and LBapuestas have taken the business decision to cease commercial partnerships with all of our affiliates based in the USA.
In accordance with Clause 12.6 of our terms and conditions (a copy of which can be found by clicking on the following link Ladbrokes | The betting and gaming affiliate programme by Ladbrokes), we hereby provide you with written notice that we are terminating our contract with you with effect from 23:59 on 31 October 2012.
Given the nature of the e-mail, many are guessing that Ladbrokes is readying a move into the US market. Ladbrokes affiliates impacted by the move have until October 31 before the split is official. By that time, the company plans on paying off outstanding affiliate payments.
Existing players will not be moved to other programs.
CAP is working with Ladbrokes and there will be more updates in the coming weeks.
