The Bodog Poker Network is teaming up with TLC88.com to bring its poker products to the Asian gaming market.
It’s just the latest in a series of deals from Bodog aimed at establishing a major foothold in this rapidly growing gaming market niche.
TLC88 is a community-based, sports betting and casino site that serves Asian gamblers and operates under a Filipino gaming license. Though the site has been in operation for almost a decade, this is their first foray into poker.
In a press release, TLC88 CEO Nick Lee said:
Poker is in its infancy in Asia but unlike most Western focused games lends itself well to the concepts of sharing and community that are so familiar to Asian gamblers. The Bodog Network is different to the other poker rooms and works better for players who are new to the game which is what many of our customers will be.
Earlier in the month Bodog announced that, Bodog.uk and Bodog.eu were getting out of the poker business in order to further focus on the Asian market. Bodog.uk is being rebranded as a site for Asian expats and will emphasized games like baccarat over poker.
